Kay Nielsen

I’ve discovered the beautiful illustrations of Kay Rasmus Nielsen, at first through Brain Pickings and then onwards and upwards through the internet. Nielsen’s illustrations are strange, wonderful, fragile creations. This one is from East of the Sun and West of the Moon: Old Tales from the North. Its text is ‘The Troll was quite willing, and before long he fell asleep and began snoring.’
